Alex brings to his work in real estate a love for beautiful homes and landscapes, along with over 35 years of experience in the construction industry as a builder and architect.
"With my experience in designing, planning, and building both residences and commercial buildings, I am able to offer my clients a unique real estate experience. I can assist my clients in every aspect of a real estate transaction, from locating the perfect home that is move-in ready, to determining what it will take to make a fixer-upper my client's dream home. I love buildings and I love working with people, and I love that real estate allows me to put my skills and experience to work for my clients at the very highest level in the industry." Alex grew up in San Marino and graduated from Polytechnic School in Pasadena, and then attended Yale University, receiving his B.A. in Art and Architecture, and later, his Masters in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
Alex serves as Vice President of TEAM (Pasadena Old Town Chapter). He served on the Board of Trustees of Pasadena Heritage as a board member for six years, and he is currently a member of the Advisory Board. Pasadena Heritage is a non-profit organization whose mission is the preservation of Pasadena's architectural and cultural heritage through preservation, advocacy, and education. Pasadena Heritage has been credited with saving the historic Colorado Street Bridge and much of Old Town Pasadena from the wrecking ball. During Alex's tenure as a board member, he oversaw the structural retrofits and exterior stucco restorations of the organization's historic headquarters in Pasadena.
When Alex is not assisting clients with real estate transactions, he enjoys playing tennis with friends and walking his dogs. On the occasional weekend, you can find him hiking in the San Gabriel Foothills or backpacking in the Sierra Nevada. Alex loves the peace and beauty of the Sierra Mountains, where he enjoys hiking and fly fishing. He also loves drawing and watercolor painting, and enjoys visiting the wonderful art museums in Los Angeles and Pasadena for relaxation and inspiration.
